Anita Sitarski
I grew up in the country in a little town outside of Buffalo, New York. Now I live in the lovely Finger Lakes region of New York state with my husband and son.
I have a bachelor's degree from Buffalo State College and a master's degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
I've worn many different hats in a teaching career of more than twenty years.
I've taught science to fifth and sixth graders and reading to just about every age level. I once even tried to teach our cat to read. Well, to recognize a few letters anyway. I've been an on-line reading and math tutor, and have been the education director for an historic house-museum.
I love teaching with puzzles and games and have written over twenty puzzles for Highlights for Children's Puzzlemania series.
My love of science and of sharing cool things with kids led me to write Cold Light: Creatures, Discoveries and Inventions That Glow. I love all the cool stuff that I found out while writing it. I hope you will too.
